June 15, 1973: "Deputies were investigating the vandalism and burglary of Luna Fire Tower in West Monroe. Officials reported that intruders tore down the fence which surrounded the tower, ripped several maps inside the tower and took an electric fan and Bible.
The incident was reported around 10:30 a.m. today. No additional information was available pending further investigation." (The Monroe News-Star)

IN HEIGHT AND SUPPORTED BY 4 CHANNEL STEEL LEGS.
