DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1961 (BRB) THE STATION IS THE CENTER OF THE TOP OF THE LOOKOUT TOWER. IT IS A FOUR LEGGED WOODEN STRUCTURE WITH A WHITE OBSERVATION ROOM ON THE TOP AND THE OVERALL HEIGHT IS ABOUT 90 FEET. IT IS LOCATED 2 MILES NORTHWEST OF THE SMALL VILLAGE OF LEANN.
TO REACH FROM THE SKELLY SERVICE STATION IN THE SMALL VILLAGE OF LEANN, GO NORTH ON STATE HIGHWAY 39 FOR ABOUT 50 FEET TO A SIDE ROAD LEFT. TURN LEFT AND GO NORTHWEST ON A GRAVELED ROAD FOR 0.7 MILE TO A SIDE ROAD LEFT. TURN LEFT AND GO NORTHWEST ON THE GRAVELED ROAD FOR 1.2 MILES TO A SIDE ROAD LEFT. TURN LEFT AND GO NORTH FOR 0.8 MILE TO A SIDE ROAD LEFT AND SIGN JENKINS LOOKOUT TOWER. TURN LEFT AND GO WEST FOR 0.2 MILE TO THE LOOKOUT TOWER ON THE LEFT.
