DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1957 (OSR) THE STATION IS ABOUT 12 MILES NORTHEAST OF DONIPHAN, 7-1/2 MILES SOUTHEAST OF GRANDIN AND 2-3/4 MILES SOUTH OF THE CARTER-RIPLEY COUNTY LINE, IN THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 34, T25N, R3E. THE LOOKOUT HOUSE IS SUPPORTED BY FOUR WOOD LEGS AND IS 70 FEET IN HEIGHT. A MEASUREMENT WAS MADE FROM TRIANGULATION STATION GRANDIN TO THE CENTER OF THE BASE OF THE LOOKOUT TOWER AND THE DISTANCE WAS FOUND TO BE 59.23 FEET AND/OR 18.054 METERS NORTHEAST OF THE MARK.
