1932: The 100-foot steel tower was constructed by the Wisconsin Conservation Commission.
1935: With the formation of the National Forest, the tower became the responsibility of the Forest Service.
1973: The last season the tower was staffed.
April 27, 2007: The tower was listed on the Wisconsin State Register.
July 3, 2007: {National Register of Historical Places} Fifield Fire Lookout Tower (added 2007 - - #07000668)
