1934: A 100-foot steel tower erected.
September 10, 1936: "A cabin is being erected at Braswell Tower by local ERA men in co-operation with men working out of camp F-17. This cabin will serve as living quarters for the lookout man." (Shannon County Democrat)
January 7, 1937: "Braswell Lookout Tower has been refloored and a ply-board lining installed below the windows." (Shannon County Democrat)
November 10, 1938: "Work has been started on the Braswell Lookout Picnic Grounds. Recreation facilities at this site will include picnic tables, benches, bonfire ring, fire places, and sanitary facilities." (Shannon County Democrat)
November 27, 1941: "Mr. and Mrs. Harley Dickerson and son, David, were visiting Harley's parents Sunday evening. Harley is the towerman at Eastwood, but is being transferred back to Braswell tower in Oregon County Monday." (The Current Local)
